Hello everyone. First of all a huge thank you to all that have read my posts and given me such good information. Yesterday was my first hatch of 11 eggs and they all survived. Including me!!!! lol What a cute fluffy bunch I have. 4 Black Sex Links and 7 Rhode Island Red. I do have one more question if someone could answer it. One of the Rhode Island Red has like green poo. Is there something wrong with her? Do I need to be alarmed? TIA Here are a couple pictures of my adorable crew.

What an exciting hatch rate! Congratulations!!!!!!

A question for you: At what point did you remove hatched chicks from the incubator? before they all had hatched or after everyone had pipped?

Thank you. Well we were not going to remove any until all were hatched. Trying to do it my the book. But the 9th one had some trouble and we helped her out. At that point we took all the hatched chicks out and put them in the brooder box under the light. Im sure that is not recommended but it did not seem to affect any of them this time. I am very new at this. It was my first time hatching so hopefully someone on here with more experience and knowledge can help you further.

Congrats on your hatch!! They're adorable. I wouldn't worry about the green poo until they start eating and processing food. Are they in medicated chick starter?

I just did my first hatch too. I set 7, 3 were infertile. 3 of the 4 remaining hatched. It feels like an absolute miracle to see them hatch. I think the most amazing point was when I heard the first egg peep!

Are you keeping all your chicks? I'm giving mine away. The person who is taking them wants more so I just set another batch tonight. I get to do this all over again! :D
