My chicks are 7 weeks old and yesterday was their first day in the outdoor coop. They spent most of the day happily in the run, but at dusk we had to catch them and put them inside the coop for the night. They cried pitifully!
Tonight DH and I went out at 8 pm to put them in, and they had already put themselves to bed, in their coop, up on the roost! and no crying, just gentle bedtime peep talk! My babies are growing up!
