Also, I keep a baby monitor in my coop with the receiver in the bedroom at night. You'd have heard it happening and been able to stop it.

So sorry about your loss....you should try & trap the raccoon or he will probably come back.

Well, if no one is left, won't he just venture off? I probably won't get any new babies until after we come back from visiting our dad at the end of July, and then they'll be in the brooder in the house for a couple weeks. Hopefully after the changes, nothing can get in.
