[@=/u/97969/sumi]@sumi[/@]. Special prayers for you tonight as you have your biopsies tomorrow. Praying that they are benign. If it's like my dermatologist office you won't know for sure for a week. But, if your dermatologist is anything like mine, they know.
I am in total agreement to bypass the family dr and see a dermatologist. Well get some rest and remember the serenity prayer.

I'm going to spend today getting ready, do some shopping, clean house as much as I can… Focussing on the practical stuff. Tomorrow early I'm going, they changed my appointment time yesterday, resulting in a mad scramble to rearrange everything, from child care to transport. Ugh, like I'm not stressed enough already? [CONTENTEMBED=/t/295839/so-talk-about-cancer-support-thread/3300_30#post_17473978 layout=inline]Gosh, you're lucky, I waited about 2 weeks after the first surgery, only to be told it's a melanoma. NOTHING more. She couldn't tell me what stage it was, nothing. Another 3 weeks passed before she contacted me again and told me it was stage 3, which later turned out to be incorrect! I then had to wait a MONTH before the hospital she referred me to got in touch, booked my follow up surgery etc. They told me it was stage 1 only, I had to come in for radioactive dye injections 3 days later, followed by wider incision surgery and lymph node removal the next day… Another 3 week wait for those results. My GP phoned the hospital eventually, because they wouldn't tell me anything and insisted they tell him what's going on. He phoned me that evening to let me know the results. I was fit to be tied by then. I hope this next round is going to be better… I don't think I can go through that again. [/CONTENTEMBED]
