Hey ya'll! I'm sorry for not keeping up. Got a lot of stuff going on. Physically I'm fine. Mentally, nutty as ever. Running around trying to get everything done before the holidays, lots of quilting projects. I'm here thinking about ya'll and pulling for everyone. Robin, that is a super sweet little girl.

CoyoteMagic, I was starting to worry about you! Thanks for the update and glad you're feeling well.

I've been AWOL myself around here, new job that I love and my Dad's been able to travel back up here twice since September so I've been spending lots of time with him & Mom. He's feeling really well, got dropped from the study we'd been hoping for so it's back to standard chemo starting next month. We're doing Christmas this weekend before they go home, since he can't travel once he gets back on the drugs. The support you all gave me when he relapsed has made a world of difference, and I thank you all again. Love to all of you.

I was puttering around on the internet and found this website. I had never known about this until a friend was mentioning something about apricot seeds over the weekend. Just thought I would pass it on as you just never know and there is no such thing as too much information when it comes to cancer. http://shop.apricotsfromgod.info/main.sc
Love
you all and Happy Thanksgiving! We all have much to be thankful for

I go in for a pet scan on Dec 7 , to see if the cancer is spreading...so should know by Chrismas.

Here hoping all have someone to love them through it.

I want it to be a fantastic report. and that is what I will be focusing on!

This is my first time on this particular thread at BYC. It IS so important to have someone to love you through it. My granddaughter was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago at the age of 7. Treatment for leukemia is almost 2 1/2 years of daily therapy. A long road. Her dad (my son-in-law) left right at the one-year mark. So my daughter was left to handle most of it on her own. The doctors told her that it's very common for couples to split up when one of their children is going through cancer treatment. How a father can leave a family in the middle of his child's cancer treatment is beyond my understanding. Of course my daughter and granddaughters had my husband and me and other relatives who were there for her. I went to most clinic appointments with them - and I babysat frequently and made meals for them frequently. Still - no one can take the place of a supportive spouse. By the way, my granddaughter is now 10 years old, off treatment since February 2011, and she's doing great.

If you have someone who supports you and is there for you through it - you are fortunate indeed. My prayers are with all of you who are battling cancer.
