Ok peeps. I need suggestions here. Sara is procrastinating like nobody's business. Her diagnosis was 2 months ago and she has YET to see an oncologist. All the pleading in the world has not helped at all!!!

She may be in denial Debi. A lot of people that get that "C" diagnosis don't want to believe it could happen to them. Especially since she's young. BUT as we know, it can happen to anyone of us.

You or someone close to her needs to talk to her and get that appointment set. Then go with her to the Onc Dr. The sooner the better.

That is indeed tricky business. I was the ''take the bull by the horns make the appointment for them, Put them in my car and drive them to the doctors'' kind of daughter. I am now to blame for the prognosis. I was not prepared for the anger that was thrown my way. Denial is a strange place.

Time really is at an essence here and you know that. How to get her to believe it is another.
She is a new mother herself now, correct? She is busy with that and all of the joy that comes with it. Cancer is a real downer, I wouldn't want to acknowledge it either.... but, Her child deserves the chance to get to know her. Use that on her.
... or tell her you are going for ice cream and stop at the oncologists' on the way.

How is everyone doing? I don't see my doc until the middle next month but have a treatment on Tuesday. A reporter from a local news channel is coming to do a story on us and how WellsFargo isn't willing to allow us to make affordable house payments. A friend of mine out in AZ called them telling them it wasn't fair that they weren't trying to help. Will be doing the interview at the treatment center.I'm not my spunky self, on a course of steroids for a fire ant encounter and not feeling super chipper, but otherwise I'm doing pretty good.

I hope that will help CM. Banks seem to be overly comfortable in the bad guy role. I think it is because it is all numbers to them. Numbers do not have faces. It is easy to be heartless to a number.
I hope putting a face on the issue will help them grow a heart.

Steroids are awful. try and stay as carb free as possible while you are on them.
The fungus imperfectus will make you miserable other wise. take those probiotics and rest up!
