Im not a supporter of Michael Vick. What he did was horrible and depraved.
HOWEVER
He did just get out of 2 years in prison.
The NFL allowed his CONDITIONAL return, but they also suspended him for the first 4 games of the season. What this means is that he is not a viable candidate as a starting quarterback for any team, and thus will not be signed for a large(as compared with other nfl players) amount of money. They have made a way for him to be back in the league and prove himself repentant and willing to change. Maybe he wont change....
But a much worse message for youth would be to say that even though you have paid your debt to society you are now an outcast who has no chance to redeem yourself. By doing this they are showing people that people do have chances to change. This probably makes a difference because many of the kids kids who see NFL players as role models(a whole other bag of worms, why would we ever hold up a football player as a role model?) have had troubles and need to understand that there are new beginnings.
Additionally, its sad to see dogs treated this way, but there are some real horrors in the world that we could be focusing on.
......
I dont know what Michael Jackson has to do with this, but yes he was a sick, pitiful, talented little man.
I dont know WHAT the military has to do with any of this at all.
