Key players=NFL=$$$$$$$ !

Have you ever been to a NFL game? It's like watching your local high school play and then you realize they make millions of dollars playing a game...a game...

We don't have kids but we go to every home game for our local high school.

He should not be allowed to play, or regain "super stardom" have just read the article, he is disgusting! . and has no excuse for what he did...fowl fowl fowl!!!!!

I live right outside of Atlanta and you would have been surprised to see all the support from the people of the city when he was indicted, tried, etc. They acted like he was a "god" of sorts....truly ashame when people accept behavior from an adult (let alone one in the public eye) like this. We DO have a choice however. IF he is picked up by an NFL team, we DONT have to go, we dont have to watch, etc, etc. I believe he will be his own undoing. "A tiger don't change his stripes".....

it apperars all the good people are smart enough to stay out of politics. Now if we could stop spending money on the stuff somebody would get the message.

I almost barfed in my car this morning hearing the NPR reporter list the things he did to those poor dogs. I have a little runty pit bull who would have become a bait dog had someone not taken him from the thugs who had him. All I could think of was someone doing these horrible things to my sweet little pickle.

So was there ever any doubt he would return to the NFL? Really?

The NFL is big business. A quarterback of Vick's talent is a commodity. People watch winning teams, and they don't watch losing teams, pay for sports gear with the team's logo, attend the games, etc. Losing teams don't get televised. Only winning teams.

If Vick can help a team win, that is all that matters to that team. If Vick has even half the talent he had when he went away, he means big money for the team he plays for.

Welcome to the real world, folks. Welcome to capitalism at its best.

Both the Vick boys are nothing but trouble, if you ask me. It would be a full-time job to keep either of them on the straight and narrow. The NFL is taking quite a risk trusting Michael. He'll screw up again at some point, guaranteed. They should've just banned him and been done with it, I don't trust him at all. If his life is quiet for a while, it's just cause he hasn't been caught, yet.

Im not a supporter of Michael Vick. What he did was horrible and depraved.

HOWEVER

He did just get out of 2 years in prison.

The NFL allowed his CONDITIONAL return, but they also suspended him for the first 4 games of the season. What this means is that he is not a viable candidate as a starting quarterback for any team, and thus will not be signed for a large(as compared with other nfl players) amount of money. They have made a way for him to be back in the league and prove himself repentant and willing to change. Maybe he wont change....

But a much worse message for youth would be to say that even though you have paid your debt to society you are now an outcast who has no chance to redeem yourself. By doing this they are showing people that people do have chances to change. This probably makes a difference because many of the kids kids who see NFL players as role models(a whole other bag of worms, why would we ever hold up a football player as a role model?) have had troubles and need to understand that there are new beginnings.

Additionally, its sad to see dogs treated this way, but there are some real horrors in the world that we could be focusing on.

......

I dont know what Michael Jackson has to do with this, but yes he was a sick, pitiful, talented little man.

I dont know WHAT the military has to do with any of this at all.
