Hello from NM, I spend time in Northern Utah, but not real familiar with Southern.

Well, thanks for keeping me company. I know a lot of folks around here that have chickens, but don't know anyone that keeps any one particular breed. They're all "barnyard" variety that I've seen. I'd like to meet others in this neck of the woods that keep Silkies, Marans, Polish, Welsummers, Cochins, or any of my other favorite breeds.

It seems that everyone is a 1000 miles away, and I just don't like having eggs or chicks shipped that far...

I'm from Fillmore, so more central than southern What city are you in? I keep BBS silkies and white frizzled cochins, none of which are laying yet. I also have standard BRs, and some EEs, the rest are just mutts.
