Don't dream about cars. My vehicles are long ago paid for and as long as they run and don't cost me too much for repairs, I'm good.

I love my 2000 Dodge Durango - its all paid for, gets me around in all kinds of weather, plus I can put just about everything in it. The best part though.... it was my ex-husband's and I took it in the divorce, he got the run down crappy old car. I don't think I would ever get that kind of satisfaction from a new truck!

BUT, my dream car is a 1957 Buick Roadmaster, Model 75.
It's a chrome-lover's dream. I'm not likely to ever have one, because they're so rare.

I have about five years until retirement.

For my 144 mile commute to and from work ..... I'd like a car that uses minimal gas, has room for stuff, doesn't need an oil change every other month, has four- or all-wheel drive (it's nice to get up and down the driveway and up and down Route 80 in the snow!).

For the time being, though, I have an all-wheel drive VW Passat. It's an '06 that we bought new, and now has 126,000 miles.

my dream "car" however, is a truck. i'm not sure what kind, but something big that i can do anything with, lol.
