I tried doing a search but could not find anything. Does day 1 start the day the eggs go in the bator or 24hrs after? I put some eggs in on 3/12 and 3/13 and was wondering when to move them to the hatcher and bump up the humidity. They are currently in a Hova 1602 with a turner and a bunch of other eggs. My last hatch was only 2 of 12 so I don't want to mess this up. I have silver dorkings and favorelles at stake here.

thanks
Chris

I count day 1 after one full day they are in........my incubator has a built in timer and it does the same. Also, there is a book called 'the chicken health handbook' and i think its on sale @mypetchicken.......that book is a great source of info on every area of poultry. It helped me alot with incubation information.

Well, I would first put all eggs in the bator at the same time.

Day One ends 24 hours after you have put them in and they are up to temp.

When day 17 ends, you stop turning and up the humidity.
