. . . what do the boys eat? We'll keep two, maybe three roosters (if they're gentlemen) b/c we do eventually want chicks, and we want the flock protection. (If everyone remains healthy and everything else goes ok, we'll have 31 girls). Do we feed something like Flock Raiser with oyster shell on the side? Or are the roos ok on layer feed? We'll provide extra oyster shell no matter what they eat so the girls can have what they need. I'm just thinking ahead and got myself all confused.

OK, sounds good to me. I wasn't sure about the calcium but I think when I switch them over they'll all be old enough that extra calcium won't make much of a difference . Hope that made sense, my sleeping meds are kicking in
