So where do we post "Holy EGG" look what I found in the nest tonight!

Yes we get jumbo eggs. But this is well let me know because I was wondering how many other members get eggs this big?



The one picture we did has a bantam egg on left and a Normal egg on the right. We also placed pennies and a quarter to see the size.



Then we did the tape measure to see how big it was!

This is a wind/fart egg I got last year. It was about 1/3 to 1/4 size of normal.

Holy smokes! Looks like an ostrich egg! I've heard the egg in an egg is extremely rare... I wild buy a sweepstakes ticket if I got one of those eggs from my girls.

I have 2 Rhode Island Reds and every so often I get a ex-large egg, usually upon using it I find that it has a double yolk. Normally their eggs are about a large to medium size.

Last week she payed an egg almost as big, 165g. It was another egg inside an egg. Very impressive if I don't say so myself. Especially since she has recovered from a severe prolapse on her first egg.

I've personally never gotten an egg-inside-an-egg, but double-yolkers are farily common.

Like Chick Charm said: it's fun being surprised once in a while. Especially when you have those tiny bantams who already lay excessively small eggs, and then lay one that's really tiny.
