Soaking Starter Feed opposed to actually Fermenting?

Thank you....I do have a question though...I thought acv was not a good thing to use in the summer because of calcium absorption problems it can cause.

You need it to keep bacteria from getting in. I use it year round. You don't have to add a lot. 1T or so is sufficient.

I like to soak my grains, drain off liquid then stir in pellets & powder feed. They love it. If you soak your pellets & stuff isn't that just a gooey waste? I just don't understand. Thanks for any knowledge.

Yes, if you soak/ff pellets or crumbles you get a mush. But they love it! I serve my ff at a very thick oatmeal stage, but the same would apply to an overnight soak. Mine still ate a slightly thinner gruel, but it splashed all over them more, so now I thicken w extra crumble before feeding if it's thinner than I prefer.
