Do yall have a recipe for buttermilk your willing to share? I have been meaning to ask if the 10 1/2"X 8 3/4"X 3 1/2" deep would be the right size to hold the goat milk batch I want to do first. Forgive me if I am asking dumb ??'s Would I need one, two, three....or how many do yall think. Hubby has an 8' 1X4. I went to the library Friday and they have no books on soapmaking other than pour & melt.
I want to do a big batch of soap tonight. I plugged in all my ingredients for a 64 ounce batch. It says to use between 16 and 24 ounces of fluid. It doesn't have an amount of lye for something that size. How would I figure that out?
I put it through but I still don't understand how you got the 5.32. I thought you were supposed to go by the suggested fluid ounces? How do I figure up the lye amounts for the larger batches that I want to make when the suggested fluid thingy says to use over 10 ounces of fluid?
