wow chiknwhisper ~ that's awesome!! Pics?? Also, how did you get your soap to cure so fast? I thought you had to wait a Full 4 - 6 weeks? Did you use something to cure them extra fast?

ok, first a question, then an AHAH!
the Question: How the heck do I get a green tint to my soap?? I
used a green tea steep, plus the green tea leaves, & added to that powdered icing dye, both green & yellow. When I first mixed it in ( at a full trace ) it was the right color, then, slowly but surely, whammo bammo ~ all color dissapeared, and the bars are now a creamy almond color!!! What do I do?? I don't know of any green juice, lol.
ok, now for the AHAH! : I am SOO PSYCHED! The gal that sold me the first 15 bath & body fragrance oils is now going to sell me 98 eo's & 86 fo's ~ the eo's are all 1/2 ounce, & the fo's are all from 8 oz up to 16 oz!! AND all from bath junkie! AND, she's willing to sell them to me as a lot, for $225, to include shipping!!!! Plus she's including 35 blue glass 4 oz pump bottles, & 50 more essential oils that are only partials! Can you believe it??? YEAH!!! ~ soap fragrances for YEARS!! lol! I'm so excited, I just can't hide it!!lol
I do have a question, though, it seems as though it takes a FULL 1/2 ounce or better to scent a batch of soap. Is that right? for a 140 oz batch? How much do you ladies use in order to retain the scent well?

I want to see how everyone wraps their soaps or presents them to the world.
Depending on what I am doing I often wrap mine in the deli sandwhich wrappers as they are opaque, are wax lined, and I can put a sticker on the outside. Sometimes I put a simple band of colorful paper around the middle with a little tag. I have even stacked them in little backery bags.
I am out of castor oil so my soaping is at a halt until a new gallon arrives.

I am going to put labels just around the middle of the soap. I am going to make them a record bowl an put in a couple of crocheted rags and a bar or two of my (that's so cool to say) soap. I don't know if I want to put the stuffed record bowl in a gift bag or use clear celephane wrap.
I noticed I couldn't speel cute the right way lol. No they are not done yet I just cut them into their shape and they are on a rack curing. They are sure ugly though lol. I'm not gonna post any pics of these cuz they aren't even goin to anyone they are so ugly lol. I have 23 small ugly bars and 5 soap balls from trying to make the bars look okay. I used an old drawer for my mold and a trash bag to line it but while it worked they don't look pretty. I guess I give a few to SOME of my family members. The ones who won't laugh to hard. But if I post pics PLEASE
don't laugh. I was just so happy it turned out. I stirred by hand becasue my blender broke and it took so long that I thought it would never go to trace

I want to make another batch tonight but I'm not sure what it will be just yet. Hopefuly the next batch won't be so ugly

NO worries....it is still safe to use....just unsightly. I cut these batches up and make a confetti batch just like NP. YOU could also rebatch...NEVER throw out a batch...EVEN if it seperates and does not trace. You can take the whole batch....pour into a pot...make sure to pour all liquid seperated out in the mold too (do not discard the oil slick rather)....and put it in the oven and rebatch it. It'll be harder to mold and waxy...but a hot process soap and immediately ready to use. There are several sites online that have rebatch methods. I just throw mine in the oven and let it cook for a few hours....it will gel again.
