How is your laundry soap working for you?

It is working pretty good. There is one small issue but Im going to play with the recipe for my next batch, which will be in a day, and see how that works. I will let you know how it does when I remake it.

There is a ton of info in this thread!! I like to read it sometimes just for fun and to see how far we have all come

I made a confetti soap Wednesday, scented with Candle Science Honeysuckle Jasmine. Used all gm for the liquid and didn't gel so I could have a white back ground. But I don't think I will make this scent again because it gave me a really bad headache

Shame because it does smell good.

I have plans to make a Cucumber Mint batch tonight with all cucumber as the liquid but I have to make a bunch of balms too.

I haven't made soap in weeks! I'm having serious withdrawls. But this weekend is spring cleaning the barn and messing with goat kids. Maybe putting away the xmas tree which is in the downstairs family room....outta sight outta mind

So I really should move the 7 week old foresome of polish chicks out of my upstairs bathroom.... lol

Maybe next weekend I can make soap.... right after the first batch of cheeeeese....

I DID IT. Made my first batch of soap yesterday, the TSC Experimental Bar with Almond Oil instead of Palm Oil. Yum.

Major issue I had was reading the scale. Because the recipe was in grams broken down into tenths I carried the thought process blindly into reading the scale. So instead of one 5 oz. bar I have 20.

Re-reading everything, the recipe was probably light on the lye and it took forever to come to trace but it looks and smells good.

Good lesson though. The recipes I'm looking to try I am converting into ounces.

I was so excited when I finished I went online and ordered some of the harder to find oils.
