Thanks;)

I have some very lovely tea I'd like to infuse for a batch of soap -- should I infuse in water or oil ?thanks

Steep the tea in water if you want to use it as part of the lye solution. Use the tea 'loose' if you want to infuse in oil. To infuse the tea in oil, crock pot it on low for at least 8 hours.

Just a guess -- but will warming my tea in oil give me the best fragrance and color from my tea ? thank you so much for your help

Thank you -- I was really hopeing for color more then scent and the herbs used in the tea are great for your complexion so was hopeing to send a little of that via oil infusion also - I have EO to compliment ( I'm hopeing ) the natural scent of the tea . I put 2 cup fulls of OO in a qt. mason jar and added 10 tea bags along with 1/2c. of dried mint . I have wood heat -- so instead of a crock I took a coffee can and filled the can1/2 with hot water put it on a trivet ( so it wouldn't get extreamly hot ) then placed the jar in it . That should work shouldn't it ?

Page 470 now !! Almost caught upon this thread . What a wonderful book it is all in it's self . wondering where some of the people who started have gone in the last year or so ? How is the church garden group ? Well enough reading for today I need to sleep

My son has asked me to make him some coffee scented soap. Has anyone here done this and can you help me out? Do I just use strong coffee for my water? Appreciate any ideas you are willing to share.

I cann't remember which post -- but there are different ideas and recipes through out this thread and a couple have both coffee and the grounds in them . if I remember correctly the coffee it self doesn't give much scent to the soap but it does lend color and scrubbing from the grounds . I'm sure someone who knows more about this will read this and help . Back to reading for me .~~~ Tammy
