Soap Makers Help!

Send me your mailing address and I'll send you some seeds. I have a LARGE amount of seeds as I bought them in bulk. High germination rate so I won't be needing all I bought.

See there! One hand washes the other in the soap makers thread!

Pretty soaps, love the swirl.

Congrats on the new account. Sounds like a good deal. I just wanted to make sure that you know you have to cure the soaps for 4 weeks, right. two weeks for the saponification process to complete and another two for the water to evaporate and make a harder long lasting bar.

Insiderat,
Walmart sells Coconut oil in their cooking section.
With my batch size, I can usually get three or four batches depending on the recipe.

I can also buy lard at local grocery stores if I don't have enough on hand that I've rendered. It does make a nice soap.

Mawahahaha, I'm bad!

Oh yes, I know. It's a hard waiting period when you want to test new batches..lol. The owner of the resort paid now to give me a chance to order more oils so I can make more for her as I ran out of some of the oils I used for her's.

It's amazing the interest sending pictures to family/friends generates. I'm starting to think I should have bought the 18 bar mold. I didn't think there would be quite this much interest right from the start.
I've just poured an unscented batch for a friend of my sister's - he can't use any type of eo or fo in soaps. His wife also wants to try my laundry soap when she found out today that I make my own using the same soap. So I'll make a batch of that when the soap is ready and if they like it, I'll give them the recipe or if they want me to make it I will (extra money).
My best friend called to let me know her mom has emailed a wish list. So I will get that later and look through it and see what she would like. And I just sent that same friend a list of what will be ready and the dates and she's posting it at work as she has been asked about them (she has been using them at work this week

). Also to get sales going, I've offered 50 cents from every bar sold to go to a fund for one of her co-workers' kids that is ill and the money helps to pay for hotel/food/bills/etc when the girl is in the hospital.

A few of my family members really got things going for me as well. Word of mouth and holiday gifts seemed to have done it. I need to go bigger then the 18 bar mold lol
