Soap Makers Help!

I have a daughter that is having bad reactions to soap. I have bought her goat milk soap. I am interested in make my own. I do have goats that we will be milking in the spring. I was going to try to make some now. I will buy the milk from a goat farm. I am having a hard time finding a simple recipe. I am not interested in any scent. I want just a plain milk recipe. Do you have any Ideas. Thanks.

I would check out Millersoap.com or teachsoap.com and read all you can there. There is also a recipe thread in the hobbis section with some. If you have any questions feel free to ask and we will walk you through it.

I make goat's milk soap. I freeze my goat's milk and sub the milk for the water portion of the receipe.

I freeze the milk in quart bags and then make a slushie out of it before putting it in a bowl and mix in the lye... it cools the lye faster and keeps the soap from getting dark.

My kids turned mine into a fuzzy weird monster thing that lived in the shower lol. It takes me awhile to get mine done to. I kinda have to clear a section of the day for it. You do a great job on them though. Much better then what I have done so far.

Corrie, I like your display! Very fallish. I like the way you group things too. I think you have a great eye for arranging things.

I got my order in from new directions aromatics. I went with them for the last eo order because their patchouli was $20/lb cheaper.
I'm soaping these 3 blends
Lavender patchouli-I think I'll keep this one with out any extra color
Orange patchouli- I think I'll use a little yellow clay for a swirl
Lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary-I think I'll use the liquid chlorophyll to make a green swirl

I use a log mold and make two batches, I pour the first batch into the mold while it's tilted at an angle, textured the top and let it sit for a bit to harden up. Then I make the second batch and pour it into the mold after I set it right. I'm really not sure how you would get that effect in a slab mold.

I'm getting Kelsei's 42 bar mold!!! It's an early anniversary gift. DH said I could order it so I can soap my butt off to ready in time for the festival. He also told me to buy any soap supplies that I need!!!!!
