Here is the picture of the coconut lime verbatim with cocoa powder sprinkle...hate it!!!! But like the fall colors in the background of the pic. I added chromium green and titanium dioxide to lighten it up a little....no go. )-: The TD is what you see streaked in the first bar there.

And here is the lavender cedar...notice the color is BLUE...NOT royal purple as stated on labcolor bb label. )-:

But I'm happy with this one more...I also put lavender jojoba spheres in this one.

Cheep trick, I love it!!!! That is a gorgeous green color! I know it's not what you wanted but I really like it. The shreds on top give it a really nice color contrast.

PPO is Per Pound of Oil. When doing scent for different size batches, you can use ppo to figure how much to use so the scent level is the same. Same with colorants and other additives like milk or cream. So 1 oz ppo is one ounce per pound of oil.

That lavender is great too! did you use an ITP swirl? (In The Pot Swirl)

Here are some more that I can think of right off the top of my heat
BB- Brambleberry or Backyard Buddies
WSP-Wholesale Supplies Plus
EOU- Essential Oil University
CP-Cold Process
HP-hot process
ITP-In the Pot
Fo-Fragrance oil
DWCP-Discounted water cold process
Co-usually coconut oil
pko-palm kernal oil
po-palm oil
sb-stick blender or shea butter
CM-coconut milk
RBO-rice bran oil

If you see something, just ask

Why yes...I did use ITP swirl!! (-: It came out fabulous...still a little more sticky than the coconut milk one...I used goatsmilk with the lavendar and coconut milk in the green one...I also used a heavy cream in a Bayberry...it is so awesome. I think I'm going to switch to heavy cream and soap with it more...the lather is so much more creamy and the bar is so much more harder.

Ok...off to get the kids at school. I've got a few other batches to unmold...I'll post later this week! Been soaping like a mad woman for all the craft fairs in November...have one scheduled EVERY weekend in November.

PPO = per pound oil

So, if someone is using EO at .5 oz ppo and making a soap batch using 5 lb of oil ... they would use 2.5 oz for the 5 lb.

.5 oz (ppo) * 5 (lb) = 2.5 oz EO

EO at .7 oz ppo for a 5 lb batch, you would need 3.5 oz

.7 oz (ppo) * 5 (lb) = 3.5 oz EO

EO at 1 oz ppo for a 5 lb batch, you would need 5.0 oz

1 oz (ppo) * 5 (lb) = 5.0 oz

I am just resurfacing after a long time away...we moved from Texas to Alaska and I am still up to my ears in boxes and remodeling. I finally found my scale but don't really know where to get lye in any quantity here. I feel like I have missed SO much!!

I would love to hear a more detailed description of useing heavy cream in soaps. Is it to replace the liquid? How do you figure SAP value or superfatting on that?
