Thanks everyone I love learning new things. Personally I use all goat milk for my liquid. In fact It's soap making time. We also make it for gifts. Good luck with your new goats and making soap, next do candles and make some home made goat cheese- umm-good.

Lets see how many people we get and go from there.

General rules:
Must be a full sized bar or product (3 oz or more)
Must be here by the deadline or else your box gets sent back to you.
I just use a med flat rate box to send everything. It's easiest to just include the money in the box you send to me.
It's good to have your screen name and ingredients on the label.

Other than that, have fun!

Anyone have any suggestions on theme?

I would love to try a swap. I made my first batch the other day. I used Cheeptricks GM recipe, cut in half. I swapped out 4 oz of OO and replaced with 4 oz cocoa butter. (ran it thru soapcalc of course) Kept my froz GM in an ice-bath while adding NAOH and got no discoloring. Didn't add oatmeal, but did add honey. Only problem is, I used a lemon/eucalyptus eo from the health food store, and I HATE the smell. Too much like bug spray!

But now I have my BB fo order and can do the Almond Joy, and also a lavendar.

Also, a note about BB: When I got my order, I had ordered the men's sampler. somehow the bottles had all leaked all over each other. So I gave them a call, and they immediately shipped out a whole other order of the sampler. Talk about Customer service!!!

Love BB!!

As soon as I can find my stupid camera, I will take some pics.

I think I might try a large batch of "Sherry's Fantastic Soap" (Millers Soap Page) and split it up to make different scents and maybe colors.

QUESTION: If I make alarge batch to split up like that, a what point do I split it up? At light trace, or before?

I would wait until you are a little more familar with trace before you split batches. Soap can go from light trace to pudding very fast!

I will be a little busy this month to participate in the swap and I would like to cure my bars a bit longer. Maybe if you have another swap I will participate then. But I'm sure everyone will have fun!!

Oh and I tried a scented soap today with olive leaf powder. I think I put too much powder lol. Oh well, live and learn.
