I've been making soaps for 4 years now and just now think I'm getting secure enough in my recipes. I'm not good with the swirling like some of the folks here, but I enjoy the mixing of frangrance oils and EOs to get the balance that people like.
The High Country was a trial and error with cotton swabs in plastic baggies until we got it right. The boys like the sandalwood and the girls like the lemongrass and pine in the blend.
I've finally figured out how much fragrance to add to each batch of soap also. For the first two years, I wasn't putting enough fragrance in the soaps to hold thru the saponification process and the fragrance was too light.
