This fall while at the Big E (Big Exposition Fair in western MA) I bought a bar of soap made by a beekeepers organization from one of the New England states (darn! can NOT remember which state it was for AND I foolishly threw the wrapping/name away!).
Well, it turns out this is the absolute best soap for cleaning eye glasses. I use hairspray daily and have never found an eye glass cleaner to clean off the residue which always makes its way onto my lenses UNTIL I found this soap. Some people might suggest I take my glasses off first but sorry I need the glasses to actually SEE where I'm spraying
So, my question to all you soapmakers is this: What ingredients should I look for in homemade soaps that will not leave a residue on eye glasses? Also if you happen to know what ingredient it might have contained that cleaned the hairspray residue off without compromising the quality of the lense and will share it with me would be greatly appreciated.
(Waiting with bated breath...)
