I have a bag of snow melt with sodium cloride in it. Is this okay to put down where my chickens walk sometimes. Its not in the immediate area of the coop. Just on my front walk.They still free range with monitoring in this weather. we are in the country but still have some neighbors. I dont want to kill my small flock. I'm a newbie and have been tending these chicks since birth. Have eggs for a few months now. Thanks for getting me thru all the fazes of becoming a backyardchickenraiser. LOL, Aloha Leilani
