Soft Duck Eggs

That’s it! I am feeding them the same so my drake doesn’t get too much calcium either. I’ve noticed only an egg a day in their coop last few days so I am thinking maybe they are slowing for the season. Do you think the soft eggs will just sort themselves out then? I am hoping it is just due to age. My first year with ducks do I am a tad bit nervous.

So need of HELP!!! I have been reading all your posts for Ducks Laying soft eggs my Duck is going on 21 months old.It has been good until now. I have had her to veterinary several times was on antibiotics shots then I tube feed her antibiotics X-ray done on her no egg bound.Blood analysts nothing there. Poop analysts nothing there. Now she is back doing the same thing she falls backwards when cleaning herself like she is losing her balance put her in Epson salt baths yesterday 2 soft shell eggs came out in tub with tail on them and square looking she hadn’t had a egg for 4 days before this dealing with this for 2 months now. Her feed is for Ducks that veterinary said was good for her. She has oyster shell all around for her. I am at a total loss now on how to help her. She seemed to have gotten better when she was on the antibiotic shots but 2 weeks later She is back doing the same thing again I think the Veterinary is at a total loss on this too

What do you feed your birds do you give oyster shell on the side? Have you ever provided extra niacin or b complex. Does she have any weak ness in her legs? Are they bowed at all.

I feed them Purina duck pellets. It’s supposed to be completely balanced for ducks. I provide oyster shell on the side.
