Soft egg/no shell in one day

My easter egger just started laying today or yesterday. I found a soft shell egg this morning and was cracked open and she just laid a no shell egg at noon. Is this common (two eggs in one day/soft/no shell) and should I be worried or is this just normal first time later stuff. Thanks

I doubt that the eggs were from the same hen (I guess it wouldn't be impossible though). I would say that perhaps another bird started laying as well. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, it takes tiem for new layers to adjust.

Well the first one was blue and she's my only easter egger and I know that the second one is her cause I watched her lay it. I'm thinking the first one was from late yesterday cause I didn't check for eggs at the end of the day.

My golden comet has been laying for 9 days and I have 9 eggs so far from her. If the others are even half that good I'll have more than enough eggs

I would try to give it oyster shells different ways, in a cup and on the floor. If they still are not eating anything (like mine) then i would give them dried out egg shells.
