My barred rock, Olive, layed her very first two eggs! Only problem was that they are soft and have a membrane, but no shell. Upon doing research, I found that it’s most likely just a small calcium deficiency that can be fixed very easily. but I would like to know: what kind of shells did you guys use for your hen? Oyster? Leftover eggshells? And what are your first experiences with them? Do’s and Don’t’s?
