Soft egg

I got this egg this morning, size of a milk dud and when i opened it it was like a gel egg inside. I have no clue who laid it

Sometimes birds, especially young ones, will lay shell-less eggs, or eggs without yolks. Usually their egg-laying mechanism will get going after they have been laying for a bit.
