Soft eggs but not all the time!?

Hi there - I am new to posting on BYC and a relatively new duck mum. I have two 10 month old cherry valley ducks (Hoddle and Waddle) both have been laying since 6 months, pretty much an egg each a day - early on both laid the odd soft one but I took that as natural for young layers. Waddle was egg bound on her first lay, but we got over that and she soon got into her swing of things!
Waddle is the care free out of the two sisters, and had the runt vibe when we got her but a happy and seemingly healthy girl. However recently she is regularly laying soft eggs - there is a pattern where she lays fine first thing and then 2-3 hours later a soft egg arrives, she then misses a day laying and generally the same pattern occurs.
I know it can take a while for their system to get used to things but I am a little worried as I can see that she is a bit off when the soft egg is on its way, so want to make sure it’s not something I can help with.
They have vitamin supplements in their water, supply of oyster shells, good feed and generally a healthy amount of sunshine.

Any thoughts on what may be the issue? I’ve googled and read threads but she honestly seems totally fine other than these intermittent soft eggs. Hoddle, her sister is a great layer and no similar issues, which makes me think they have what they need.

Thanks for any advice anyone can give :)

Sounds like she's releasing multiple ovum in a day. It can happen in spring as daylight increases which increases hormones. I might try cutting out the extra vitamins to see if it helps. Soft eggs can also be from stress, they push the egg out before it can get a shell applied. It doesn't sound like that may be the issue.
