I have 6 Leghorns and 4 Buff Orpingtons that are about 22 weeks old. The Leghorns have been laying for a couple weeks but the Buffs just started today. The first two eggs were soft, and one was just yolk. The Leghorn eggs have been perfect. Is this anything to worry about??

No, it can be quite common for many new layers. It can take some time for their systems to regulate and to work out the glitches.

You can add some oyster shell. Could be as said having just started laying, that her body isnt in sync yet. However, do keep a eye on her. I had one like that. From the beginning she would lay soft shelled eggs and ssometimes just the soft shell would come out in a glob. Bless her heart she Always had trouble. This eventually took her life as she also laid internally.it could be nothing and perfectly normal with yours just starting but do keep a eye on her to make sure it wont be a constant issue. Just be aware that it can happen. Im sure yours will be fine though. Just keep a eye on her. Best wishes.
