I have 3 hens. Out of those 3, one lays eggs with the calcium deposit. She has done this since she started laying. They are about 9 months old. But now 2 days in a row, and once about a month ago, she layed one of those accidental soft eggs (always find under the roost). Any reason for these eggs? They all eat the same. They have the calcium addition in another bowl.

Some birds have funky shell glands.
Not all birds uptake and/or distribute nutrients the same.
What breed is she?
Did she lay all winter?
Honestly not sure what their breed is. They all lay blue-ish to olive eggs. I believe they all started laying around the end of January. And they were for the most part regular. She is just the only one that layed the "abnormal" eggs.

What all, and how, exactly are you feeding?
Any changes to the coop, run, or flock recently?
How big, in feet by feet, is your coop and run?
Dimensions and pics would help.

. Layer feed and food from My Urban Coop. And absolutely no changes. Everyone one seems happy. Everyone eats great.
