soft eggs

one of my year old leghorns lays soft egg and all my 6 other hens including her gobble it up is this normal?? why does this happen? they get good food lots of treats actually they r very spoiled...

Does she always lay soft shelled eggs? It is quite usual for them to lay an odd egg every now and then but not all the time. Yeah they will eat eggs if they get broken or if they are soft shelled, but this isn't good because they often start egg eating. Do you provide oyster shell grit for calcium?
