I have a year old Wynadotte and I noticed the other day her vent was prolapsed. It was minor so I gave her a warm bath and it helped it 100% haven’t seen anything wrong since BUT we have had calcium problems with switching to a new feed I’ve noticed my girls are calcium deficient so I’ve been making sure to supplement it on the side and it’s been going good until I saw this on the poop shelf tonight when I went to put them to bed. Any advice/tips/recommendations please on what this is, why it’s happening and what to do. THANK YOU! Just want my girl to be okay ugh.

What are you supplementing on the side? Oyster shell?

What are you feeding, including treats?

For the hen that prolapsed, I would give her Calcium Citrate with D3 once daily for a week. See if that helps. You can find Calcium Citrate with D3 in the vitamin aisle of stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. Give 1 tablet daily, just pull down on her wattles, pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow.

They have oyster shells and eggshells on the side and for feed it’s been Nutrena Country Feeds Egg Producer. I was giving them scratch and peck scratch as treats but I stopped giving them treats once I saw that soft eggshell. Since I posed this the other day she has been eating, drinking and laying normal and her droppings are normal too. I’ve checked her every day and the prolapse is gone thank goodness. She seems to be good now and I’m planning on not using that feed again so crossing my fingers every thing is good

Glad things are going much better now!
