Last night I had a EE get off the roost and layed a huge soft shelled egg. I was able to pick ie up with my scoop. I wanted to get apicture but lo, with with trying to get out the door of the coop holding it, 4 other eggs and a flshlight I broke the shell.
When I got in the house with it the soft shell had all the egg parts in it plus a hard shelled egg. First really weird one I have had. I am sure she was glad the outside egg was a soft shell. It was about 4 inches long and 2 to 2 1/2 inches wide. Sorry no picture. This was at midnight last night.
