I recently purchased a GQF 1502 incubator with the automatic five gallon pail. Should I use soft or hard water?

Thanks,

Ryan

I use distilled water simply because we have very hard well water (lots of limestone and iron in it) and I hate to have to clean off hard water deposits..

so I went with the idea of using distilled water (like you would use in a steam iron).. figured that wouldn't leave behind any hard water deposits for me to have to scrub out later on

is well water bad for the eggs?

it depends a lot on your well water

ours is high in limestone and iron.. so I wouldn't wash the eggs or spray them with our water because the gunk would clog up the pores (not to mention washing the bloom off the eggs... )
Also I suspect since our well is ancient that the bacteria count is a bit high
