One of my barred rocks is laying soft shelled eggs often, maybe 2 times a week. I'm wondering if it is vitamins that she is not getting enough of. She is on bottom of the pecking order and smaller than the other BR I have, but she always has been. She is also shaking her head more than the others. I've looked her over closely, she does not have lice or mites or any other parasite (that I can see). They all have oyster shells readily available to them, and access to food all the day. They are free ranging in my back yard also.

I think I'd get some calcium citrate +D3 and give her one tablet once a day for about a week and see if her eggs improve.

What exactly is this head shaking she's doing? When does it occur and how often?
just regular human calcium citrate+D3??
and she does the headshake thing all the time. Like shes trying to shake something off her head, but its just a single shake, not continuous. does that make sense?

Yes, human pills are fine.
Have you felt her crop? Is the manna pro 15 mean it has 15% protein? Layers need at least 18% protein.
