Soft shell egg

This morning my Cochin hen laid a soft shell egg in their roosting area. She also will not get up or jump down when a person goes near her, she will just stay sitting there. Yesterday she seemed to be limping but I could not find anything on her foot. Is there anything I can do to help her? I don't think I can get any pictures. Thank you.

Get some calcium into her. Calcium citrate +D3. Citracal or its generic equivalent is good but a Tums will do if that's all you have on hand. Just pop it in her beak, she can swallow it no problem. Do you have oyster shell available all the time?

I don't have any oyster shell right now, but I did tell my aunt to get some. I will get the calcium citrate somewhere, and I have D3. Thank you!

Just give her one capsule once a day for 5 to 7 days.

I would use it today. Then I would get generic calcium citrate with D3, and it can be used for up to 7 days, 300-600 mg. Here is a generic one:
