Soft shelled egg and this???

[Spring Chickens]

One of my 2 year old RIR crosses laid this this morning. Soft shelled egg and this. What is it?? They did just move coops, we built a bigger one for them, so could possibly be stressed about that, as well as they are molting. Thanks in advance.

No I don’t believe so, I scooped it up with this bowl, when I found it it was sitting in the nest exactly how it is sitting in the bowl, beside the partially broken soft shelled egg. Could it be a lash egg?

Cut it open....it does appear to be lash material which means infection.

What part of the world are you in?
What exactly do you feed your birds?
Are you feeding treats often?

Cut it open....it does appear to be lash material which means infection.

What part of the world are you in?
What exactly do you feed your birds?
Are you feeding treats often?

It had egg white consistency inside with a few layers of material around and then outside was crisper like a shell a bit.

We’re in south western Canada. Birds get organic layer feed and suitable table scraps sometimes. And they free range but have been locked in more often at the moment to try to get them to lay in their new nest boxes instead of the bushes.
