Soft squishy bottom.

I noticed my hen was walking around with her tail down and poopy butt. She pecked around foraging would eat and drink but Lethargic. Her breathing was labored so much she walked around with her beak open when she sat her whole body would move to her breathing. Oh and I heard what sounded like her honk. She was 5 years old. I put her down. Because I didn’t want her to suffer. But can I get some info on why her belly was so full like a ballon squishy.
 
Sorry for your loss. She may have been suffering from ascites (water belly.) It can be common in hens, and may cause labored breathing from the pressure on the abdomen. When my chickens die, I usually do a necropsy on the body and have found ascites (yellow fluid) when the abdominal wall is cut open. It has a number of possible causes including internal laying/egg yolk peritonitis, cancer, fatty liver disease, and heart failure. You can try to drain a hen with ascites by inserting an 18 gauge needle into the lower belly. Here is a good thread, and note post 42 where a hen is drained:
