For whatever it is worth, there seems to be quite a lot of conflicting information about water quality for birds. Most of it is focused on large producers interested in fast weight gain or egg production. Nothing seems to be directed at those of us who consider out birds as much as a pet as anything else.
We are going to have our water tested by our State University Extension Service. They should be familiar with what is harmful and what isn't pertaining to livestock and fowl. It isn't cheap, but we want to make sure we are doing all we can for our flock.
