Beautiful young pair of true buff Ameraucanas for sale

* * * Come out to Mount Juliet this weekend, and you can enjoy blue-green eggs by late summer * * * *

I have one three-month-old buff pair available -- one cockerel (young rooster) and one pullet (young hen). True Ameraucanas are pretty rare in this area - - these birds come from Jean Ribbeck, a well-respected breeder out west.

Have kids in 4-H? These gentle birds have been hand-raised from hatch, and would make lovely local exhibition birds. Daphne is custom-made for an older child to love - - she is just as sweet as can be, and loves to chat with you while sitting on your lap. Apollo is a tall and majestic young rooster, and a wonderful, gentle protector for his little hen.

Have a small backyard laying flock? Apollo is growing into a wonderful flock protector, and the pair would blend in nicely with a flock of Easter Eggers or other Ameraucana mixes. They would also be just fine living as a pair, grazing the yard and cleaning up bugs.

And the best part? Daphne will soon grace you with lovely blue-green eggs five or six days a week! You could enjoy the eggs for breakfast, or you could hatch them out and start your own flock of beautiful golden chickens who will lay blue-green eggs. You could also sell the hatching eggs, and perhaps even join us at the Ameraucana Breeders Club!

I am very fond of these birds, and I want them to go to a good home with plenty of space, fresh food and water, and protection from the elements, especially in winter.

Below are pictures of the pair; they are moulting their baby feathers, and will soon be a gorgeous, deep butterscotch color. I am also including a photo of one of Jean's champion adult hens so you can see what an adult will look like.

$20 for the pair, sold as pair only. Paypal preferred. Pickup in Mount Juliet, TN; no shipping. Please post SOLD here and PM me to make arrangements.

Member of the Ameraucana Breeders Club.

I also have another sweet-natured cockerel available, most likely a brother to the pullet, $5.

Thank you for looking!
