I have a question about a solitary goose. This spring and summer (until about 2-3 weeks ago), we had between 50-75 Canadian geese hanging out in our pasture and using our pond. Recently, they all vacated except for this poor guy. He (I'm assuming it's a gander due to his size and stance) just hangs out very close to the pond and once in a while goes for a swim. Why is he still here? Is he very old/injured/sick? I have never seen a Canadian goose by itself before.
