Well today a hawk attacked one of my two beloved bantams. It killed one and now my poor hen has no one to roost with or play with. I cant put her with my big hens because they beat her up and she cant be with the silkie chicks either.

I was looking on craigslist and found some D`anvers but I dont know much about that breed and my girl is a BB Red bantam so in case you dont know they are only a little bit bigger than a serama. Will these D`anvers hurt my hen?

Please help! I just dont know what to do.

So sorry that happened; it sounds terrible.

Size isn't all that matters. Um, I mean, you should be fine w/ your new friend. They will simply have to work it out. Remember to keep them separated until you know the new one is healthy.

D'Anvers is another bantam and size should be fine - pretty similar to an OEGB. According to Ideal, weights are almost the same.

Good luck!
