I finally took my little guy out to hold today and he was great! Surprisingly, he was very calm and content to just sit on my hand. Of course it is day time and I probably interrupted his sleep, but I also used the chance to clean his cage and snap a few pics. He was a very cooperative little lizard!

The lighting was not that great so I had to do a little bit of photoshop. Excuse any blurriness!

This picture was neat because it was right after I took him out. He was a real light tan and as I held him longer he calmed down and turned dark again.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

He's cute. What's his name?

LOL! That would certainly be nice if he did! My mom kept telling me to name him the Geico Gecko, but I ended up calling him Marcus after a character from the Terminator series. I'm actually not sure if its a he or she, but hopefully I'll find out soon enough!

Yep! I would love to. I'll try and take a pic asap.

Right now my set up is very simple. I'm using a ten gallon because he is still pretty small, but eventually I will upgrade to something like a 20 gallon or a large rubbermaid box. It was recommended that I put the tank on its side so they have more room to climb, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet and he seems to really like the cave I put in there for him. If I turned the tank I wouldn't have room for it. I also put in a bunch of paper towel tubes and he likes to hang out inside of them. I also bought a fake plant that attaches to the tank with a suction cup and he usually goes behind that during the day. For the bottom of the tank I use paper towels and it is sooo easy to clean. He hardly makes a mess at all! Let me know if you have any more questions. I'd be more than happy to help out. I've been learning too, but I spoke with a bunch of people at the reptile show and I've gotten some great info from people on here!
