I just went to feed my 2 and 3 week olds some mashed banana, and instead dropped the ceramic plate on my tile floor right smack in front of the brooder. Scared the feathers off of all of them! Poor babies...

They'll forgive you; thank goodness you didn't drop it IN the brooder!
Uh oh! Better to drop the plate than one of the chicks. I bet mashed banana only improves with floor grit on it, according to the chicken mind.
