I put some eggs in the incubator 9 days ago. I noticed at the first candling at 5 days some were way over developed and I could see them still moving. There were only 5 that looked that way. I left the incubator at a low humidity because there were 45 more eggs in the incubator that were normal in development. I stopped turning the over developed eggs yesterday. So now I have 2 eggs with holes in them already and I can hear the chicks inside peeping. So I figure one of two things happened, the guy who gave me the eggs didnt know a hen was sitting and gave me the eggs to incubate, or the hot temps started the incubation, it was about 85-90 degree highs when I put them in the incubator. The strangest part is that the chicks survived the guy washing them and who knows what else. Also before I put them in the incubator I left them at room temperature for 2 days while finishing up another hatch. After all that and the humidity being around 35 percent because I was doing a dry hatch and it's looking like 2 chicks are going to hatch. I just thought of report and see if anyone has had similar experiences.
