I am completely new to raising chickens and I am having trouble finding a good feed and a good waterer.

I use a metal waterer right now, and it gets clogged and/or dries up multiple times per day. Should I use a nipple waterer?

I am also having trouble finding a high quality organic developer and layer feed, that would be preferably gluten free. If anyone could recommend a brand that would be great.

Thanks,
El

I use plastic waterers now so that I can add ACV. In fact, I must add ACV to keep the algae out, since the plastic is clear and let's sunlight in.

As for nipple waterers, my experience is that chickens don't like them as much. They make a good backup source of water for my flock, because they hardly get used. Some people swear by them, but most chickens I've seen will jump at the chance to drink water normally.

I use nipple feeders, and my chicks are taught by mum to use them from day one. I use them with plastic buckets, but also use them on plastic soda bottles for babies and sick birds where i need to administer antibiotics. I do however agree that they love a plain old simple bucket of water!
