Some help please?

So...my mom grew up on a farm that everything from cats to peacocks. Anyways, she has given up that life and moved to the city. When we were at the store they had baby ducks! They were adorable. So when we move we wanted to get some but have them as INDOOR pets. Yes,I know about the poop and the maintenence, but I'm ready. I was wondering if anyone could help me with what to use make there home and such. I kinda wanted to shoestring it. Anyone who has haf indoor ducks, stories would be appreciated
