I admire your boss for taking in the poor, stressed birds. Most people don't realize that parrots need your time and love, and tons of it. I think they're more demanding of attention than children. I've just spent a week convincing a friend not to buy a parrot. As much as I love my friend, she does not have the time available for a bird like that. She's getting a couple of finches instead, thank goodness.
Your job sounds like heaven, I'm glad you found something that you love.

They are beautiful but need much more attention than most people are willing or able to give!
