Felix D is very happy in his new enclosure that my boss built me in the dairy. He loves veggies & fruit. Today I found my boss feeding him watermelon, prickly pear & mango scraps

Thought I'd add some new photos of him for compliment fishing. He's still very sun faded in some of the pics from the last place I kept him. He's supposed to be pitch black & white but he's starting to lose the fade now after 2 months under cover.

From yesterday, 16 months old:

Is it just me or have the angles on his front end improved with either growing up or proper trimming? He looks good. Also bravo on breaking him to drive first. I feel like driving as a skill for horses has fallen out a bit in the united states. Both of mine drive. The mare I broke to drive at 2-3 and then didn't ride until 4 (she was a tiny girl) I do have to say she was the most epically easy horse to ride after being broke to drive first. I literally just got on and rode her threw the paces.

Yeah, he's growing into himself & people are a lot less critical now ;-)
He's bred to drive & it's better for his body than to ride at a young age so why not?

Oh I agree. Driving just seems to be becoming a specialized skill or a lost art in the US. As in most horses are not trained to drive at all, but instead rushed into whatever will make the most money.
